
Today I did a Facebook Live on how I eat keto. Its been a journey for sure!
When I first started I did all the keto fats to meet my macros and thought I might hurl or die. It was gross, bacon grease, lots of butter and too much dairy (I’m lactose intolerant). I didn’e love it and then binged on too many carbs.
I needed to find a balance and what I came to realize is that you can DO KETO YOUR WAY and still stick to the principles and create a great, fun, healthy, energy filled lifestyle and get and KEEP the results.
Most people looks to keto for weight loss and fat loss. I started my keto journey because I was over 40, my hormones were shifting and I needed to fill in the gaps with foods with purpose aka high healthy fats, proteins, less sugar and removing the wrong carbs.
I have been on the a keto journey since July 2017 starting with drinking ketones to give me the benefits of keto before I even knew what keto was.
Drinking ketones gave me IMMEDIATE brain clarity and focus, incredible unicorn mood, amazing energy to keep up with life and my young kids, amazing sleep, appetite suppression so I wasn’t tearing down the pantry like a beast, and I use ketones before my workouts and my body has incredibly changed becoming stronger and more scuplted with enhanced performance than ever. Also, my sex drive is through the roof (I don’t know if that’s a ketosis or ketones thing, but I’m gonna say “YES it IS!!!!” because I’ve never felt like this before……there is truth to ketones balancing hormones too – so yep I think its a thing ;), and the list goes on to all of the amazing benefits of DRINKING KETONES, let alone pairing that with eating KETO or LOW CARB.
