I recently found out something about myself that was both surprising yet made total sense.

Have you ever had those moments in your life?

I found out, at 42 years young, that I am an Empath. HOW I found out is quite the story too. WHEN I found out I started crying….for JOY. It was as if so many things in my life finally made sense.

I’ve heard of the term once before in my life but I never knew the definition of it.

Empaths are highly sensitive, finely tuned instruments when it comes to emotions. They feel everything, sometimes to an extreme, and are less apt to intellectualize feelings. Intuition is the filter through which they experience the world.

Without going into a 42 year long drawn out story, and the overemotional drama that goes with all of it and how I have self sabotaged different seasons of my life, let’s just say that every single piece of my being is described within that definition. yep, go ahead and google it — its very interesting.

My Intuition As An Empath

You might think this is weird or very cool, or will be very afraid to talk with me one day. LOL
My intuition is OFF THE CHARTS. DAILY. What I am thinking, other people think and people say them who are near me, or text me or call me about that exact topic in that exact moment within a few minutes of my thoughts. Its as though I am literally putting out energy signals for that person to also think on the same wave length or I am picking up theirs.

If we are around each other, you can bet I will have a very strong idea as to how you feel towards me and or how you are feeling at the moment.

That is the cool part of it.

The Not So Cool Part Of Being An Empath

There is a VERY NOT COOL part of it too.

I absorb other peoples energy and if it negative or anxious it will literally throw me into  tornado spin and I can often times fall into moments of anxiety with panic or really deep days of depression.

For a while, I just thought I was crazy and it would cause a lot of issues in my personal relationships.

One time I went to a large company convention with 30,000 people and I literally had a panic attack at one moment — just too much energy to absorb all at one time. I felt as though there was a tsunami of feeling, emotions and everything felt as though there was a tunnel and ALL I could do was get out of the stadium seats and get to an open space. I felt suffocated, claustrophobic and could not breathe. When I got to the top of the stairs I was out of breath as though I had been running.

When I got home from that convention it too me 3 days of sleeping and doing nothing but eating and sleeping to catch up with my regular energy levels.

I found out I am an Empath about 30 days after I got home from that convention.

How I Found Out I Was An Empath

I have had two moments in my life where I had a moment with God (as I like to call it).
It was a whisper….like a really whisper in my head, but over my shoulder, an energy in the room, that I knew was there. Both times were late at night, where I feel a lot of time people are up, and the energy in your part of the world is on low and therefore a person can think more clearly and understand themselves and their deepest desires.

Late at night is when I would stay up hoping, praying, searching, learning , discovering HOW and A WAY I could change my life and create a business from home that would allow me to stay at home with my kids. At first I wanted just a part time $1000 per month income…it quickly grew into bigger 6-figure income goals. That is another story….but really, the story of our lives are like breadcrumbs leading us to the next circle of life.

I felt the whisper, I heard the whisper…….



It was confusing to me. I had heard the term at some point in my life, but not sure when and never took care to look it up.

SO, I QUICKLY “Googled” “Empath” and I was like….


It was me. it was every explanation of every moment of my life.

How To Rebalance Yourself As An Empath

I feel so FREE knowing that there is something more to me that I always knew was different but never knew quite how to describe it.

So in the process of trying to rebalance my internal energy’s as well as my extertal energies I’ve been doing a lot of research on room layout, colors, how to declutter, placement of things in my home, and using¬†this super cool awesome Himalayan salt lamp that I have featured in the photo above.

I actually have three of these in my home and guess what? They have all been turned off for the last several months!

A Himalayan salt lamp addition to your home exudes negative ions which are similar to the ions created at the beach when the waves at the shore or from waterfall or during a thunderstorm and lightning clear the air and “moves” stagnant polluted energy.

These ions generate positive energy and make you feel more relaxed and happy!

Wearing Gemstone Jewelry To Rebalance Your Empath Energy

Before we go any further…….you can choose to believe these things and look for help, or you can try these things out and see and feel how they make you feel.
Is it the placebo effect with you “thinking” these things will help and therefore they do?
I don’t know…..
We’ll never know really as I believe EVERYTHING in life is truly “between the ears”. BUT, if they do help and your life is more balanced and you are happier and you know how suit up with your armor daily so you can be the bet you and deliver yourself to those you care about and love and serve them in the ways you love and care about them so a closer human connection can be made….then why not?
If it does work……KEEP DOING IT!

Additionally I have discovered that yoga in addition to my regular 5-6 days per week workouts AND wearing daily energy rebalancing jewelry like these below really do help — be it mentally or if it really rebalances my energy levels, I believe it, and it works. Here is the crazy thing about me wearing moonstone; I started wearing it BEFORE I discovered I was an Empath and its a gift that give to all of the team leader Diamond Coaches on my team in my business as a Beachbody Coach. Crazy right? I was naturally drawn to it. Most coaches give Tiffany necklaces and things of a very materialstic nature. I very much felt I was going outside of the norm with this, but I kept being PULLED to this necklace…..so, I made it THE Diamond gift necklace for my team.

Today I truly serve my body with the 90/10 rule….90% awesome nutrient dense nutrition and 10% whatever I feel like…which usually comes from the 90% portions of food too. I just LOVE to feel awesome from what I eat. I feel like eating foods in which will make me want to lay on the couch and be miserable while they digest are a waste of my time and doesn’t allow me to be my true self all day. I feel miserable, lethargic, terrible digestion, and then don’t end up eating right all day long.

So I have found that these key factors in nutrition TRULY help me daily stay balanced:
1 Day Shakeology shake per day. I Have been doing shakes for years and YES there is a good and a bad shake mix. Don’t mess with the good stuff, just get your Shakeolgy, spend your money wisely and be done with it.

Eating from the 21 Day Fix meal plan, portion containers and most importantly the nutrient dense food list. I would say its a great balanced meal plan that focuses on foods in this order proteins, veggies, fruits, healthy good carbs, health fats, nuts/seeds/oils. You get everything in the right amounts and the right types. Its flexible and I feed my entire family from it. Again, don’t mess with anything complicated….THIS IS IT!!

Up to 1 GALLON of water per day mixed all different ways. usually 3/4 gallon just regular water down the hatch. But the other 1/4 mixed with some spice; sparkling water with defused fruits.

– Of course….I am working out 5-6 days per week and then also doing 2-3 30 minute yoga sessions too. These yoga sessions are not meant for workout purpose, but just pure body movement and rebalancing. I work out and do my yoga at home. i want to be alone get it done and don’t want it to me a major part of my day. I have found Beachbody super effective home workouts to be best for me and I have gotten he best results of my life with them simply because there are NO excuses to getting it done and especially when you have an online group atmosphere to encourage and support and uplift and motivate which is why I hold private online fitness and nutrition bootcamp accountability groups — they have helped to change my life, so I know they will help to change other peoples lives too. In which case I have helped hundreds of people change their lives in fitness, nutrition and creating new lifestyle habits that are truly life changing, because they took the leap and joined my online support group. – I have also started to work on getting in 5 minutes of mediation and breathing 3-4 days during the week. I schedule it into my calandar because this right now is the hardest for me to crete a habit with, but I’ll get there just like with everything else…..habits take time to create. You have to be REALLY REALLY diligent and on purpose about making it happen until it becomes a no brainer like teething brushing….you JUST DO IT!

I hope that this post gave your confidence and positive energy that you can have control over being an Empath. Its a good thing…..no, its a GREAT thing. I believe that once you know and are aware, then you can take actions to properly channel it and you will also know when to step back from certain situations and that its OK…truly OK, to be reevaluating YOUR situations to be the best you. Through that you can become more accepting of you and enJOY your life to the fullest daily.
