OK Really, I have a definite sweet tooth. When I first started eating clean I did absolutely go 60 days without sugar and sweets. I wanted my body to show me what it was made of.

Now that I have my eating and fitness under control I most definitely have a sweet treat a few times per week.

I make these every single week.

My kids love them.

My husband loves them.

They are a healthier clean sweet treat that will also serve a great purpose of getting more protein into your daily diet.

I don’t know about you, but I LOVE chocolate. Having these chocolate protein cookies kinda serves as ‘closure’ for me to my end my days eating cycle. I have one right after my dinner (not every night, but most nights).

1.5 cups oats

1.5 scoops Shakeology or other chocolate protein powder

1/4 cup natural peanut butter or almond butter

1/3 cup raw honey

3-4 tbsp of coconut oil

1/4 cup mix raw almonds and coconut bits or shredded and 2 tbsp dark chocolate chips (optional – -I actually forgot them in this batch) — pit into a baggie and pound or chop into small pieces. Could even put into a Nutribullet and pulse a few times.

Slowly start to mix all together with a spoon. You will need to get dirty with your hands and knead it all. You may need to add a little PB or cocount oil to make it all stick together.

You can make into balls or flat cookies. Start by getting a spoonful, then press together tightly until sticking together. Then, shape as you like.

Cover and put into freezer for 1 hour.

Keep freezer or in refrigerator to keep helped together.
